She’s cruising!

Yesterday, Sophie pulled herself up at the couch, the coffee table, the end table, the recliner, and pretty much on everything else she could get to.  And, she took a few steps while holding the furniture.  She is also in a total nap strike… yesterday she napped for about 1/2 hour in the morning and maybe 15 minutes in the car in the late afternoon, and that was after being completely freak-out-crying tired so bad she couldn’t stand it!  I am SO not ready for her to be walking, not ready at all… Will didn’t do this until he was about 10-11 months old!  So, the little bit of peace and serenity I’ve had (and let me tell you, it’s NOT much!) is about to be tossed out the window for good!

She is sleeping right now and that is a relief, if I can get an hour out of her this morning, our lives will be MUCH better for the rest of the day.  We are going to visit friends for a bit when she gets up, then I need to get back home to clean up because my mom is coming down on the bus tonight and will be here around noon tomorrow.   It will be nice to have adult company for the next 10 days or so, I’ll be able to shower in peace and maybe actually get some things done around here that I haven’t been able to do at all!!
